002 - Video - Paris is awesome!
Oct. 23rd, 2011 12:55 pm[When the video clicks on, Peace isn't in the shot. Instead, there's Notre Dame cathedral and she pans up it as she talks.] I just ended up here somehow. [A murmured aside:] I got a little lost actually... [Normal voice:] It's a wee bit more impressive than the chapel on board the ship, I must say. This city is great! It's so big and there's so much to do. Even if it is just the Admiral trying to distract us from the atmosphere on the Barge, I for one am perfectly content to be distracted.
Warren, where are you? I want to show you this cathedral.

[Peace is wandering around the grounds of Notre Dame (and almost certainly will be for quite a while). She's currently in the rose garden. Piety is wrapped up in a shawl, to hide his wings and pointy tail and Peace is holding tightly onto his leash. He doesn't look particularly happy but Peace is beaming.]

Oct. 15th, 2011 04:59 pm[After a few moment's fiddling and some wonkiness in the video--both from the spookiness and from her unfamiliarity with the tech--there's a woman, around her fifties, wearing a white wimple with a black veil over it. She has a cross around her neck and a strange-looking dog-bat thing on her shoulder that she occasionally pets while talking. The room behind her is from a medieval castle--think big stone walls and tapestries--and it's very messy. She gives a cheery wave and smile before she continues.] I had a bit of a play with it but I'm still not sure how this machine works, so I hope I'm getting through all right. I'm gathering that this ship doesn't always have the same spoooooky-- [She waggles her fingers theatrically but looks extra serious as she says that, though her tone is all joke.] --feeling as it does now but I still want to take a look around, so who wants to play tour-guide for me? It's always better to get to know a place with someone else leading the way.

I believe I've just been assigned to look after one Mr Warren White. A file with your name on it just appeared here. Character Name: Sister Peaceful Hortense Elaine Warren. Just call her Sister Peace.
Series: Castle Waiting by Linda Medley
Age: It's never stated, so let's say somewhere between 50 and 55.
From When?: When Doctor Fell is going rather crazy towards the end of the published comics. Her deal will be to give her some guidance on how to help him.
Inmate/Warden: Warden! Peace, apart from being a nun, is a kind, friendly woman who believes that everyone deserves a second chance. She's not a saint (her order of nuns is... a little odd c:) but she is without a doubt a good person and she sees the potential for good in almost everyone. She says at one point: "We don't all have to get into Heaven through the Front Gate." and to the reply that the back gate of Heaven is very close to the front gate of Hell, she simply replies that "[she'll] just have to make sure they're headed towards the right one." Her attitude is that everyone can be saved. The order of nuns to which she belongs is called the Solicitine Order, and the sisters' main purpose is to give people what they need not what they want, which is just about the perfect qualification for a warden. She's also not above playing a little dirty to help people, which will be useful as a warden.
Item: Can I say her church grim, Piety? He's a little dog- or cat-like bat-winged ghast creature and he'll just screech and lead her to her inmate in times of trouble because I think it's kind of funny. If not him, then her cross.
Abilities/Powers: No supernatural powers. She's a good bartender and practically ran a circus games tent, so she has a good handle on slight-of-hand and trickery and she's good at gambling. She has a little bit of first-aid knowledge thanks to her association with Doctor Fell and her time as a nun on the battlefield, but considering she's from a Medieval-style world, it's not exactly modern knowledge.
